LIVING ROOM

This contemporary home was a unique process for us in that we were involved right from the beginning of the build. Now a modern and stylish space, we worked with this client to furnish and decorate the space to suit their personal style.

The main living area has ample natural light and a large open-plan layout. Slatted oak cladding paired with the burnt orange of a Ligne Roset Togo sofa introduce warm tones into the space, contrasted by neutral accessories and occasional furniture. Geometric lines from a Space table and Everywhere sideboard draws your eye across the room, following the line of the cladding to lead you into the kitchen.

The wooden tones are continued into the kitchen by the Plank dining table, an elegant piece from Danish supplier Naver. With tactile, angled edges and a distinctive design made up of two solid planks, it mirrors the surrounding linearity and complements the soft, upholstered dining chairs. A parachute light from Ligne Roset ties together the industrial elements that exist throughout the room.

An installation of DCW’s Here Comes the Sun lights is one of the focal points of this home. The elegant glass-lined landing and wooden staircase created the perfect backdrop for this striking pendant arrangement. This unique hanging light takes on a new aesthetic when lit, with its warming tones and statement structure adding an extra design element to this entrance. Consisting of varying sizes and colours, we positioned each lamp precisely to ensure a dynamic and cohesive display that works from all angles. Across the landing sits another single pendant, lighting up the dining space below.

The bedroom features a muted colour palette and textural upholstery, designed to feel like a hotel room. A feature wall using Arte wallpaper creates a striking visual impact as you enter the room, while large windows fill the room with natural light. In order to block out this light, we chose a luxurious blackout-lined fabric from Wemyss with a wave heading. A Silent Gliss curved box track was installed to mirror the black framed windows and doors, creative a cohesive and stylish design that blends subtly into the space.
