Design House Norwich

Located on the banks of the River Wensum in the heart of Norwich, this light-filled space was a joy to work with. Our brief was to help our clients create a practical yet stylish open-plan area—a serene city escape they could retreat to and enjoy.

In the dining and living area, we selected the Ligne Roset Eaton table, paired with Vik dining chairs upholstered in Alcantara fabric. Behind the dining area, the Everywhere sideboard—also from Ligne Roset—offers a sleek and functional storage solution. On top of the cabinet sit two Porta Romana Blob lamps with marmalade silk shades. We’ve long admired Porta Romana, so bringing their pieces into this project was particularly exciting. We’re thrilled with the result. For the walls, we chose a textured wallpaper from Arte, which flows into the hallway, adding depth and continuity throughout the space.

Shifting focus to the lounge area, a rug from Jacaranda anchors the clients’ existing sofas, complementing them perfectly. The curtains are in a Jane Churchill fabric, carefully chosen to compliment the room’s blue tones. Accessories include a cushion from Zinc and a Heathfield floor lamp with a bespoke shade in rich dark teal satin.

Moving into the master bedroom, the standout feature is undoubtedly the Makona wallpaper from Black Edition. Its serene design reflects the willow trees lining the river just outside the window. The bed is dressed with two cushions in Okiru Mineral, also by Black Edition, adding subtle texture and tone. Velvet curtains in Velluto Mist by Designers Guild bring a sense of calm sophistication and luxury.

In the guest bedroom, we opted for lighter and pink tones. Curtains in Quadrata Sienna by Black Edition set the tone, with a matching accent cushion on the bed. Two larger cushions in Bude Cognac by Zinc complete the look, adding warmth and tactile contrast.
